Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply when you use Baseworth. By ordering a package you agree to them.
1. What you are buying
The Baseworth Package (CIM) is an informational document prepared from the financial records you upload and the answers you provide. It costs $349, one time, for one business.
The free valuation is an estimate produced by applying a typical industry multiple range to figures you type in. It is a guide, not an appraisal.
2. What it is not
- Not a certified or independent valuation. It is not prepared by a credentialed business appraiser and must not be represented as one.
- Not legal, accounting, tax or brokerage advice. Consult qualified professionals before selling a business.
- Not a guarantee of price. What a business sells for is decided by a buyer, not by this document.
3. Your responsibilities
The package is only as accurate as what you give it. You agree that:
- You have the right to upload the documents you provide
- The figures and answers you supply are true to the best of your knowledge
- You will review the finished package before sending it to anyone
Every figure in the package is printed alongside the document line it came from, specifically so you can check it. If something is wrong, tell us — but the review is yours to do, and you are responsible for what you pass on to a buyer.
4. Payment and refunds
Payment is taken before the package is generated, and the package is delivered immediately. Because it is produced on demand from your own data, it cannot be returned once generated.
If generation fails, you are not charged again — your payment covers retries, and you can regenerate at no additional cost.
If the package is materially defective — sections missing, figures that do not match your documents — email support.baseworth@gmail.com and we will correct it or refund you.
5. Your data
Handled as described in the Privacy & Data Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your documents are processed to produce your package, they are never sold or shared with buyers or brokers, and nothing about your business is published.
6. Your package is yours
You own the package we produce for you and may use it however you like — send it to buyers, lenders, your broker or your accountant. You may not resell Baseworth itself or use it to produce packages as a service to others without our written agreement.
7. Acceptable use
Do not upload documents you have no right to, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it to produce misleading material about a business. We may decline or cancel an order that breaches this, with a refund.
8. Availability
The service depends on third-party providers and may occasionally be unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If an outage prevents delivery of a package you paid for, you will be refunded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Baseworth's total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the package in question.
We are not liable for business decisions made on the basis of the package, for a sale that does or does not happen, or for a price achieved. The document is an input to your decision, not a substitute for professional advice.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you place your order.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California.
